Education
Allison graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Davis in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics. Following her undergraduate education, Allison worked for Congressman Devin Nunes in Washington D.C. for two years drafting legislation and meeting with constituents. Wanting to pursue a legal career, Allison graduated from Pepperdine University School of law in Malibu, California, with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and certificate in criminal law.
While in Law School, Allison worked at the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office, Compton Branch specifically working with the Victim’s Impact Unit involving sexual crimes, batteries, and elder abuse. While in law school Allison competed on Pepperdine’s nationally ranked Trial Team, as well as their International Moot Court Team in London, United Kingdom.
Experience
Allison focuses on Elder Law and Medicaid Planning. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and works to protect and preserve assets from the rising costs of nursing home care. Allison practices throughout Indiana serving all of our Sprunger & Sprunger locations. She provides advanced Elder Law estate planning both prior to the need for in-home or nursing home care as well as crisis planning when an immediate need exists for a Medicaid application and/or spend-down.
Community Involvement
Cory and Allison intentionally chose to move back to Berne after living in Malibu, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and London because they believe in the value and quality of life offered here in the rural heartland. Because of this belief, Allison has chosen to serve this local community in the following ways:
